Areas are available for group bookings in certain areas in the pub, please enquire if you are planning an event and our team will be happy to help you talk through what we can deliver.
Large food bookings will require a pre-order.
As we are situated in the historic Exeter City Centre there is no parking available on site.
There are car parks within 5-10 minute walking distance at Harlequins and Northernhay Street.

We have 6 quaint and cosy Boutique Rooms (2 Cosy Doubles and 4 Comfy Doubles). Our stairs are quite narrow due to the structure of the old building. Our Cosy Rooms contain a small double bed and may not be suitable for guests of a certain height.
No children are allowed in our hotel rooms, but they are allowed in the pub if accompanied by an adult.

No Dogs in our rooms, but the pub itself is dog friendly.

We do have an accessible look on the ground floor and our main bar is accessible. Some areas of the pub are only accessible via a staircase. Let us know when making a booking if you require assistance so we can allocate a suitable table for you. Unfortunately, there is no lift/ wheelchair access to hotel rooms.
We have a Snug Area which can be available to hire. There are 4 sections of the pub which are: Dickens Corner, The Snug, The Front Area and Waterbeer. We also have a small roof terrace which is open from 10am-11pm.
Drinks can be taken away if they haven’t been opened and no drinks that aren’t bought on the premises can be drank inside the pub (excluding hotel rooms).
